Arise!
Perhaps a generation form the ruins can arise;
A people called to holiness with anger in their eyes
at the sin and devastation wreaked by enemies of Christ
on a broken dying people with no hope left for their lives.
Perhaps a generation full of fire will arise,
To take up arms and battle ’til the Truth replaces lies
and people find salvation through the road of heartfelt cries;
Conviction cutting deep until repentant weepings rise.
Perhaps a generation filled wth passion will arise;
To sow their youth and give their lives to see Jesus lifted high
in the world in which they find themselves no matter what the cost,
because they love their Saviour and His desire for the lost.
We can be this generation, its for this that we were called-
to die to see revival and His kingdom in this world.
So cast away with holy zeal your idleness and sin,
pick up your cross and waste yourself that revolution might begin.
…….So expect a generation to be dragged out of the mire,
to do away with selfish games and become a blazing fire.
To no longer obey appetites of comfort ease and sin
but spurn them all to kneel and serve, and worship only him.
