You’ve got to have a dream!

Friday, February 15th, 2008

You have got to have a dream in life to be successful.  Prov 29v18 says without vision the people perish.  If we don’t have dreams and visions for our lives then we’re going nowhere… In fact God wants us to have dreams, Bill Johnson says that God didn’t like it when there was none of our dreams and desires around, thats why he created us.  How would you feel if your kid told you they had no aspiration for their life, that they only wanted to do what you their parent wanted for them, that they didn’t know what they wanted for breakfast only whatever you their parent wanted for them… It would be absurd!!! The joy of parenting is watching and even coaching your kids to have their own desires and dreams and becoming the best at what they like and are good at.  Its the same with God, he wants us to know what we want.

Of course there is a balance.  It would be no good for our dreams to be evil or crazy.  Our dreams must be good and righteous.  How do we ensure this?  Psalm 37 gives us the answer… God says he will give us the desires of our heart, (the dreams of our heart) if we will first delight ourselves in him.  Thats the secret.  Maintain a strong relationship with God and your desires will remain pure and He will fulfill them.

There’s a danger that dreams can be just that, dreams that go nowhere and become nothing.  Thats why its paramount that in order to see your dream become a reality you are willing to pay the price for your dream.  You can say that your dream is having a 4×4 Jeep, but if you’re not willing to pay the £10,000 price tag you’re not going to see your dream become a reality.  You can say you want to become the best sportsman in the world, but if you’re not prepared to go out and play even when you’ve got a fever and feeling ill, you’ll be beaten by the guy that is willing to pay that price.  Its one thing to have a dream but you’ve absolutely got to pay the price for your dream for it to happen.

BEING OPEN

Why did i use this title ? because thats the cry i have on my heart right now not just for me and what i can get from being this way but because i dont want to be the cause of pain. When God opens up areas in my heart that he wants to touch and mould what is taking place in that moment is the LOVE OF God touching me so i can touch others. God is speaking to fireschool a lot about the heart this is what we live for to have our heart moving in the way of our Daddy God.

EACH AND EVERY DAY

In fireshool Im just seeing the need to be in that right place within at all times because you just dont know whats going to happen next and this is how God wants me every day  God tells us through his word to clothe our self in the armor of God so we can stand the test of each given time endurance is needed holding on pressing through standing firm thats being clothed on the inside ”Belt of truth ” being honest before God  ” Breastplate of righteousness ” protecting the heart from hardness and coldness towards the things of God and im soo thankful God knows how to touch that right place within to bring out that response hes looking for and even though i fall down in it God is ready with arms open wide to pick me up again THANK YOU LORD

God is showing me through fireschool ways of geting deeper into his heart I feel more and more that as i come as a child and want to learn from him because he knows me best and as i meet with him in the middle God takes away the hardness in me and this just makes me want to say.

Thank you God you’re always there, thank you God you always care. Thank you God for you’re words you share, to pass on to others and show that you care. Thank you God you know how long it will take for your childs life to grow strong. To learn to listen, to learn to talk, you hold our hand as you teach us to walk. And when we look back at the things you brought us through, we know we can move on because we’ve got our God who’s faithful and true.

Angels - running with purpose

Saturday, February 2nd, 2008

Last night we had a prayer meeting at the House of Prayer. We were praying specifically for the House of Prayer and at one point Pastor Tim had us all go to a wall and pray that God would send angels out to the rest of the world with the vision of the House of Prayer. As I was praying, I saw an angel and he was running all the way through the south of England and into France, he was running with complete abandon and joy and was SO happy with his task. There was nothing that could stop him and he was running with total purpose. He was carrying a torch and as he ran, the torch left a burning trail behind him which could not be put out.

God reminded me of when I was a child, I lived in the countryside and after the crops had been harvested, the farmer would burn the stubble in the fields so he could then plough up the ground with ease. Because the leftover crops were so dry, the fire would take really easily and once it started burning, you couldn’t stop it and you had to just stand back and let it take it’s course and this was what it would be like with Europe as all the ground was so so dry which can sometimes be disheartening but it was the best thing ever because it meant that the fire took really quickly and easily and spread really quickly and once it started burning, there was nothing that could be done to put it out so even though we sometimes despair of our state in Europe, once the fire starts, there will be nothing that can be done to stop it.
