Oh LORD would you so wake us to the desperate need for prayer. Alarm us with the ever pending doom of millions of people. People you crucified your son for to make it possible for them to be bought back. Yet we, the church, repeatedly choose to turn away from the sickening sight of the decay of sin upon a whole generation. God forgive our selfishness and our living with a baseline of comfort and ease. Holy spirit let your church in this nation recieve a violent prod in the direction of true prayer and supplication, burning with a hunger for you and a desire that the church might again be the House of the Lord, a place You can reside as your heart longs and yearns to.

If only we can create a foundation for God to be able to be himself in his house without the limitations of a people who confess God with their mouths but not with their hearts.

Father I’m guilty of all the above but I ask that you would burn up my sin and purify this heart that you might then find me blameless in the midst of a lawless and God rejecting society!
