To Live, To Love, To Die, To Love, To Serve
Last week on Fireschool, Pastor Ken let us listen to a teaching by Heidi Baker. I was really blown away by just how much she loved the people of Mozambique. She was able to love them because she knew the love of the Father all around her. As a result of listening to this I made a decision in my heart and mind, that it is time for me to live, to love, to die, to love, to serve. By this I mean God has allowed has challenged me to love Him more and as a result of loving Him, dying to self, laying down my life as a living sacrifice and therefore growing in love and compassion for the lost. For me I would have naturally stopped a showing compassion for the lost, but God, was teaching me that it is not just enough to love. Instead of just loving, I felt God say that I needed to start to serve the lost, serve the unloveable, to meet needs and demonstrate love in a practical way. This day on Fireschool has really marked my life and has changed my life and the way I view having compassion and love for those who need to know what love is.
