The fire school is up and running and to say the first week has been intense, can only be described as an understatement. With intense early morning prayer meetings, evangelistic outreach missions and incredible, challenging teachings, we have been subject to what looks like a small taste of things to come. To us, the fire school is so much more than a school. I believe it is a place that God is using to bring and draw in ‘heat seekers’ who have a zealous, ongoing unquenchable passion for the Lord.

This place is designed not to quench the flames, but to fan them and direct them accordingly, so as to be used by God effectively in bringing about a radical and much needed change in the region and indeed the nation. There is an air of expectation in each persons heart that God is geniunely about to move in an unprecedented way, and that we are sitting on a spiritual ‘firework’. Each prophetic word we have received in the last year or so has only served as a reminder of what we believe is God’s commision for us to go to war and has made it all the more easier for many of us to step out of our own lives to give a year to the cause, regardless and many times in spite of financial or other difficulties.
I for one, have been searching for a place such as this where the focus of every day is in seeing what every radical born-again christian wants to see. Revival. To me it is a word that is thrown around far too casually in the church. It is an event usually sparked by a desperate push by a small group of people with a uncontrollable passion that boils over into their everyday life. People who not only say thay are prepared to give up everything to see it, but are willing to prove it by doing so. In the fire school I am surrounded by people such as this. I have been challenged by the sacrifices many have made just to be a part of it and feel priviliged to be in a place where I am surrounded by people pursuing God with all their heart.

In the next year I expect to be challenged, rebuked, encouraged, and humbled amongst other things.

I hope to come out driven, annointed and above all changed.

I want to get as close to God as I can get and this seems like the ideal place.

Just yesterday I saw a billboard advertising alcohol (one of the things I imagine we will be praying against in the next few months) depicting an open field which I took as more prophetic words. It read “Its Harvest Time.” We agree God, we agree.
